Sir Kahil El'Zabar

Sir Kahil El’Zabar, knighted by the French government in 2014, is a world-renowned multi-percussionist, bandleader, composer, and educator whose pioneering “spiritual groove” has influenced artists across disciplines. He has collaborated with luminaries such as Dizzy Gillespie, Nina Simone, Stevie Wonder, and Pharoah Sanders, and served as chair of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians.
