Margarita Palacios

Bio

Margarita Palacios (PhD New School for Social Research, New York, 2004), is an interdisciplinary scholar and practicing psychoanalyst in London. She has written extensively about subjectivity, aesthetics and the political. After teaching at the Free University in Berlin,  she joined in 2008 the Department of Psychosocial Studies at Birkbeck College, University of London.  Her fields of specialism are critical theory, psychoanalytic theory, continental philosophy, decolonial epistemologies and methodologies; feminist and queer theory, new-materialisms and post-humanism. She is the author of Deseos Nómades: Estética y Política del Afecto (Metales Pesados, 2022), Radical Sociality: Studies on Disobedience, Violence and Belonging (Palgrave, 2013) and Fantasy and Political Violence (Springer, 2009).
