We're pleased to present this list of IDSVA students and alumni participating in academic conferences and events this Spring. In particular, five IDSVA students and alumni will participate in the 2024 College Art Association (CAA) Conference in Chicago, IL, from February 14-17.
Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, Matthew Fields is an emerging African American laborer, Artist and Arts Educator.

Tory Schendel-Vyvoda is the curator of the Evansville African American Museum and director of the Lamasco Microgallery. She earned her bachelor's from Indiana University and master's from Johns Hopkins University.
They will present at the “Critique of Resistance" symposium, November 30 - December 1, 2023.

IDSVA Director Simonetta Moro will participate in a tribute to Italian philosopher Gianni Vattimo (1936-2023) and present her recent publication The Vattimo Dictionary.
